The Power of Letting Go
Have you ever felt the weight on your shoulders? or the fact that certain memories just makes your chest so heavy that it gets so hard to breath?
But when you find release, your whole body would just simply lighten up?
I guess that is what you would call, letting go...
Think how great it would be if you could do that all the time, in any place, and with any event. You could always feel free and happy and never be cornered by your feelings again. Think about the times where you would no longer be victim to these negativity...
We carry around with us a huge reservoir of accumulated negative feelings, attitudes, and beliefs. The accumulated pressure makes us miserable and is the basis of many of our illnesses and problems. The average human life is spent trying to avoid and run from the inner turmoil of fear and the threat of misery.
If we take a closer look, we will see that it is simply just a bundle of unattended fears and the lack of self confidence. We have become afraid to face our inner feelings because they hold such a massive amount of negativity that we naturally repel from it, or rather, choose not to face it with courage.
But how many of us do actually realise that?
Hence, to seek relief from the daily challenges we are facing in our lives, we just have to change our perspective and learn how to let go of what is holding us back.
It is definitely NOT easy to just let go as we find ourselves dwelling in self pity and negativity since it is subconsciously the more common, comfortable and easier way out.
It takes a lot of grit, mind power and determination to cultivate into a habitual behaviour to think positively and finally be able to let all go. Therefore, training the mind to be stronger and more aware of the feelings within are steps to empower you to be eventually able to let go of the things that are holding you back.
The first nine steps may be painful. But if you press on, remember the tenth step would be sweet and worth the first nine steps.
